Just a day before the Bihar Election 2025 voting, Munger’s politics took a surprising turn. Sanjay Singh, a key Jan Suraj Party candidate under Prashant Kishor’s leadership, quit his party and joined the BJP. This sudden move has shaken up the local political scene and created new excitement just before polling.
Sanjay Singh joined the BJP in the presence of BJP candidate Kumar Pranay and declared his support for the NDA. This defection adds to Jan Suraj’s troubles, as earlier three of its candidates had already withdrawn from Danapur, Brahmapur, and Gopalganj. Now, Munger joins that list, exposing cracks in Prashant Kishor’s organization.
Kumar Pranay, BJP’s candidate from Munger, has also made headlines for his wealth. His election affidavit revealed assets worth ₹177 crore, making him one of the richest contestants in the Bihar Election 2025. With Singh’s entry, BJP’s prospects in Munger seem stronger, while Jan Suraj faces a big challenge on the eve of polling.
