Bihar Election LIVE

The political heat in Bihar has risen as leaders intensify their campaigns ahead of the second phase of the Assembly elections on November 11. Voting for the first phase is underway across 121 constituencies in 18 districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rahul Gandhi, and Tejashwi Yadav are addressing multiple rallies.

According to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), 43% of the second-phase candidates are crorepatis, while 32% face criminal charges. Nearly half of them hold graduate or higher qualifications.

In Forbesganj, PM Modi said the NDA government is identifying infiltrators and working to provide homes for the poor. He criticized RJD and Congress for misleading the public. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the RJD for promoting violence. Amit Shah predicted an NDA majority, claiming RJD and Congress will be “wiped out by 11 am” on counting day.

Priyanka Gandhi, in East Champaran, urged voters to recognize their historic role in nation-building. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused PM Modi of unfulfilled promises, questioning the delay in Vikramshila University’s construction.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar’s rally in Barachatti was postponed due to technical reasons as the election battle in Bihar intensifies.
