During the first phase of the Bihar Election 2025, a heated confrontation erupted in Lakhisarai between Deputy Chief Minister and NDA candidate Vijay Sinha and RJD MLC Ajay Singh. The dramatic face-off unfolded on the streets in front of cameras, drawing statewide attention.
Vijay Sinha alleged that voters in Khoriari village were being stopped from leaving their homes and that RJD workers had taken over a polling booth. He rushed to the area with his convoy and urged residents to vote. However, his vehicle was met with slippers, cow dung, and stones, allegedly thrown by angry locals.
Soon after, Ajay Singh arrived, and both leaders exchanged sharp accusations. Sinha claimed Singh was intoxicated and disrupting the atmosphere, prompting police to conduct a breathalyzer test. The test, however, came back negative, disproving the charge.
Ajay Singh dismissed Sinha’s claims, saying, “He’s panicking after sensing defeat and trying to create drama.” Sinha countered, warning that the public would “hold everyone accountable on the 14th.”
Videos of their on-camera argument have gone viral, adding more heat to an already charged election atmosphere.
