RJD Supporters Clash Outside BJP Office in Jamui Amid Bihar Election Heat

RJD Supporters Clash Outside BJP

Tension gripped Jamui on Saturday afternoon as hundreds of RJD supporters clashed outside the BJP office on Station Road. The chaos unfolded soon after RJD candidate Shamshad Alam’s roadshow, which followed Tejashwi Yadav’s rally at the stadium ground. Former minister Vijay Prakash was also seen accompanying him.

As the procession neared the BJP office, RJD supporters began shouting death slogans against BJP candidate Shreyasi Singh. Leaders present at the BJP office immediately alerted the police. Officers reached the scene and dispersed the crowd to restore order.

BJP leader Rajkishore Singh later alleged that some in the crowd also shouted “Allah Hu Akbar” and “Pakistan Zindabad.” Attempts to reach the RJD candidate for comment were unsuccessful.

Reacting sharply, the BJP held a press conference in Patna. Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel accused the RJD of intimidating women candidates. She alleged that Shamshad Alam’s supporters even vandalized Shreyasi Singh’s election office.

Patel said the incident exposed the contradiction between the opposition’s promises of women’s empowerment and their actions on the ground. The BJP has demanded strict action against those responsible for the violence in Jamui.
