AAP, Congress Slam BJP Over Security Lapses; ₹10 Lakh Aid for Blast Victims’ Families
Opposition parties in Delhi have blamed the BJP-led government for security lapses following the Red Fort blast. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticised the Centre, saying that sympathy on social media means nothing if the government cannot provide basic help like ambulances for victims’ families. The Congress also questioned the government’s handling of security, calling the blast a result of negligence and demanding accountability. In response, the Delhi government announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹10 lakh each to the families of those killed and assured full medical support for the injured. Senior AAP and Congress leaders visited hospitals to meet victims, urging authorities to ensure better emergency response and coordination. Security measures have been tightened across the city as investigations continue into the deadly explosion.
