Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh anticipatory bail has brought major relief to the superstar after a Varanasi court accepted his plea in a multi-million rupee fraud case. Additional District Judge Devkant Shukla granted the Pawan Singh anticipatory bail, stopping his immediate arrest.
The case began when Varanasi businessman Vishal Singh filed a complaint at the Cantt police station. He accused Pawan Singh and others of cheating him in a film investment deal. Vishal claimed that in 2017 he was persuaded by film producers Premshankar Rai and Seema Rai to invest in a movie promising big profits. To gain his trust, they introduced him to Pawan Singh in 2018.
Vishal Singh later alleged that Pawan Singh also guaranteed the film’s success. However, the movie was never made, and the money was not returned. Police registered a case, making Singh’s arrest likely.
At the hearing, senior lawyers argued that Pawan Singh was only the lead actor, not involved in production or finance. The court accepted that the funds went to the producers, not him, and granted anticipatory bail.
