APCRDA Demolishes 14 Illegal Layouts in Amaravati, Warns Public Against Unapproved Plot Purchases

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has taken action against unauthorised real-estate activity in the capital region. On November 10, the Authority cleared 14 layouts, summing to about 35 acres, located across various parts of the capital region. These developments lacked the necessary approvals and violated land-use norms. APCRDA officials issued a stern warning to the public not to buy plots in unapproved layouts, reminding prospective buyers that such transactions carry significant legal risk and may result in loss of investment or demolition orders. The action is part of a broader crackdown on illegal schemes, following complaints of unauthorised constructions springing up alongside approved layouts. APCRDA said it will continue enforcement, including removal of internal roads and amenities in such layouts, and penalisation of developers. The public is urged to verify layout approvals, check with the authority’s official website and avoid speculative purchases.
