Barh Chunav Result Live: Close Fight as RJD Leads Early

Barh Chunav

Counting is underway in the Barh assembly seat of Patna district, and early trends show a tight contest. After the third round, RJD candidate Karnaveer Singh, also known as Lallu Mukhiya, holds a narrow lead. He is representing the Grand Alliance and is banking on strong support from Yadav, Muslim, and Dalit voters.

The BJP has replaced four-time MLA Gyanendra Singh Gyanu this year. Instead, the party has fielded Dr. Siyaram Singh. This change has created curiosity among voters and added intensity to the contest. Barh has long been known as a BJP-NDA stronghold.

Barh is often called “Mini Chittorgarh” due to its dominant Rajput population. Rajput candidates have won this seat in almost every election, except in 2005, when Lovely Anand, wife of Bahubali leader Anand Mohan, secured a win. Gyanu then won four consecutive terms, twice each on JDU and BJP tickets.

Counting began at 8 am with postal ballots, and trends started emerging by 8:30 am. Barh falls under the Munger Lok Sabha constituency. Across Bihar, the Election Commission has set up 46 counting centers and deployed observers for all 243 seats.

All eyes remain on whether Rajput voters stay with the BJP or shift toward the RJD this time.
