The Bihar Model Code of Conduct has been lifted after the assembly election results. The Bihar Model Code of Conduct remained active from the day election dates were announced. After the results, the Election Commission submitted the list of all 243 newly elected MLAs to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. With this step, the process to form a new government began.
Senior officials reached Raj Bhavan in Patna to present the final list. The Chief Election Commissioner and key officials from the Election Commission attended the meeting. The announcement of election dates on October 6 brought the code into effect across the state.
The NDA won 202 out of 243 seats, while the opposition secured 35 seats. With the results declared, political activity increased in Patna and Delhi. NDA leaders met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and further discussions took place in Delhi at Union Minister Amit Shah’s residence.
Reports suggest that the current cabinet will meet soon. After this meeting, Nitish Kumar may resign and take oath again as Chief Minister. Raj Bhavan will announce the swearing-in date.
