The formation of the new Nitish cabinet is moving fast in Bihar. After the NDA’s big win, Nitish Kumar resigned and began preparing for a fresh team. The process has created a buzz across the state, as leaders discuss how many ministers will join the new Nitish cabinet and which parties will gain space.
According to Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, the cabinet may include 35–36 ministers. He said the possible breakup could be 16 from the BJP, 15 from the JDU, 3 from LJP (R), and one each from HAM and RLSP. However, he also clarified that these numbers are based only on media reports, not official information.
Manjhi added that the NDA’s victory was bigger than expected. They believed they would win around 160–180 seats, but the final tally crossed 200. He thanked the people of Bihar for trusting Modi and Nitish Kumar.
He also commented on the recent dispute in the Lalu Prasad Yadav family, calling Tejashwi’s actions “wrong” and expressing support for Rohini Acharya.
