A key development has occurred in the fund misuse case involving IPS officer Sanjay. He has been in Vijayawada jail on remand for the past 80 days. Sanjay recently filed a petition in the ACB court seeking bail.
The court dismissed his petition, marking the third time bail requests have been rejected. Earlier, two previous bail applications were also dismissed. This latest rejection is a significant setback for him.
Sanjay worked in the Fire Safety Department during the previous government. Allegations surfaced regarding fund misuse during that period. The coalition government at the time identified irregularities and filed a case against him.
Following the findings, Sanjay was arrested and shifted to Vijayawada jail. The court has repeatedly extended his remand while the investigation continues. Despite filing three bail petitions, he remains in custody as the case proceeds.
