Trump Faces Mounting Political Pressure Amid Party Friction

Trump

Donald Trump faces growing political pressure as concerns about rising living costs and internal Republican disputes intensify. Recent Democratic wins in several states have also raised alarms for the president ahead of next year’s midterm elections.

Trump has reshaped government with an aggressive style. He deployed troops in cities, ordered federal restructuring, and pursued major projects around the White House. Yet voters remain uneasy about the economy, even though inflation has dropped from levels seen during Joe Biden’s term.

Trump defended his record at a McDonald’s-sponsored summit. He claimed inflation is now “normal” and pledged to reduce it further. But his party’s unrest threatens his momentum. Rep. Thomas Massie urged Republicans to support the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files. Massie warned that Trump cannot shield them after 2030.

Trump shifted his position and backed the vote, signaling a rare setback in a Congress controlled by his own party. He also clashed with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and pressured states to redraw districts to protect the GOP majority.

Economic worries continue to overshadow his agenda. Trump has eased some tariffs and proposed a $2,000 dividend funded by tariff revenue. But many voters still feel strained by higher prices, and Republicans fear deeper losses if concerns persist.
