Eric Trump Slams Mamdani in Sharp Political Attack

Trump

Eric Trump has sharply criticised New York’s incoming mayor, Zohran Mamdani, during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity. He claimed the mayor-elect “hates the Indian population” and represents a far-left movement reshaping major American cities. Trump said policies linked to socialism are making large companies struggle in cities like New York.

He argued that New York once stood as the “greatest city in the world,” but he believes politics has changed that. He accused Mamdani of focusing on radical ideas, including nationalising grocery stores and targeting leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump also claimed Mamdani holds views hostile to Jewish and Indian communities.

Trump urged the new administration to focus on basics such as public safety, clean streets, and reasonable taxes. He said the city could succeed without heavy government involvement.

He also connected Mamdani to progressive leaders like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and repeated his criticism of her opposition to Amazon’s planned New York headquarters. Trump said the company would have created thousands of high-paying jobs.

Mamdani will take office on January 1 as New York’s first Muslim mayor of South Asian and African birth. He also becomes the youngest leader of the city in over a century.
