STPI Poised to Drive India’s Next Big AI Revolution, Say Industry Experts
Experts believe that Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) can play a decisive role in accelerating India’s AI revolution, given its nationwide network of tech centres and long-standing support for IT innovation. Speaking at a recent event in Bengaluru, officials highlighted that STPI’s incubation programmes, specialised labs, and collaboration platforms can help deepen India’s AI capabilities by supporting start-ups, facilitating research, and enabling industry–academia partnerships.
STPI is already working on initiatives aimed at nurturing talent, strengthening digital infrastructure, and encouraging the development of indigenous AI tools. Industry leaders noted that with the right policy backing and investment, STPI could become a core driver of India’s AI ecosystem—similar to the role it played during the early growth of the software and IT services sector.
The organisation plans to expand its focus on deep tech, aiming to support innovation that aligns with national priorities in automation, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
