The Odishis intensifiea crackdown on Bangladeshs as police in Jagatsinghpur launched a major raid on Thursday. The Odisha crackdown on Bangladeshis intensifies further with officers targeting the home of Sikandar Alam, who allegedly rented houses to Bangladeshi nationals. The raid took place in the Dhani Pur slum area under tight security, with two platoons of force deployed along with the Additional SP and SDPO.

This operation forms part of the statewide campaign ordered by the Odisha Government to identify and act against illegal infiltrators. The action has spread across multiple districts, including Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Keonjhar.

Earlier, Jagatsinghpur police demolished a suspected hideout in Beherampur and arrested four individuals believed to be Bangladeshi infiltrators. In Bhadrak, surveillance led to the detention of 17 suspected youths. Keonjhar even observed a 12-hour shutdown to support smooth police movement and area checks.

State Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said the government will continue strict measures until every illegal infiltrator is identified and removed. He added that coordinated raids and arrests will go on across Odisha as part of a larger security effort.
