Nitish Cabinet Bihar Sees District Balance in New Minister List

District-wise representation in the Nitish Cabinet Bihar

The Nitish Cabinet Bihar shows a clear effort to balance power among different districts and communities. Patna, Vaishali, and Begusarai lead the list, each getting multiple ministers. The Nitish Cabinet Bihar also includes leaders from 19 other districts, giving wider representation across the state.

The new cabinet has 27 ministers. Fourteen come from the BJP, nine are from the JDU, two from Chirag Paswan’s LJP-R, and one each from HAM and RLM. Some senior leaders gave positions to their family members, including Santosh Suman and Deepak Prakash.

Most ministers are MLAs, while four are MLCs. One minister does not belong to any House and may soon enter the Legislative Council.

Rajputs have the highest share with four ministers. Other castes like Kurmi, Koeri, Yadav, Nishad, Dusadh, Brahmin, and Ravidas also received representation. Minorities found a place too, with JDU’s Jama Khan joining the cabinet.

Region-wise, Magadh leads with six ministers, followed by Mithila, Tirhut, and Ang. Seemanchal, Saran, Shahabad, and Champaran received two ministers each, showing a broad regional spread.
