ISI Hiring Youngsters From Other States to Spread Terror in Punjab

ISI hiring youngsters from other states

ISI hiring youngsters from other states has become a disturbing trend, the Ludhiana Police said after busting a multi-state terror module in Ladhowal. ISI hiring youngsters from other states shows how Pakistan-based handlers are widening their network to strike in Punjab.

Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said the accused, Deepak alias Deepu and Ram Lal, travelled from Rajasthan to execute a grenade attack in Ludhiana. He added that their handler, Jasveer alias Choudhary, directed them from Pakistan and pushed them to target Punjab.

Sharma explained that criminals from Bihar, Rajasthan and Maharashtra are being recruited so they can stay “under the radar.” He said the Punjab Police is coordinating with the National Investigation Agency to track their foreign links.

Earlier, Ludhiana police had caught another module linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Officers arrested Shamsher Singh from Ferozepur, Ajay from Haryana and Harsh Kumar Ojha from Bihar. The group planned grenade strikes on government buildings and other sensitive areas.

Police recovered two Chinese 86P hand grenades, five .30 bore pistols and 40 cartridges. Shamsher’s arrest led investigators to Ojha, who reportedly has experience in hurling grenades. The police then arrested Ajay and recovered two more pistols from him.
