At a landmark event marking 25 years of the Janata Dal (Secular), the party’s national council unanimously re-elected H.D. Deve Gowda as national president and H.D. Kumaraswamy (HDK) as state president. The decision underscores the party’s continued reliance on the leadership of the Gowda family, which has been central to JD(S)’s identity and organizational structure.
