Samrat Chaudhary will head the Home Department. Nitish Kumar has given this ministry to a BJP leader for the first time in his government. Vijay Kumar Sinha, the second Deputy CM, will handle the Land and Revenue, Mining, and Geology departments. On November 20, a total of 26 ministers took oath with Nitish Kumar at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
Samrat Chaudhary’s political rise has been quick after he joined the BJP. He belongs to the Koeri (Kushwaha) community and earlier served as the state BJP president. He won the Tarapur seat in this election and entered the Assembly. His father, Shakuni Chaudhary, also represented this area many times.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, a Bhumihar leader, has won consistently from Lakhisarai. He earlier served as Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and later became Deputy CM. He now works as the Deputy Leader of the BJP Legislature Party.
