Congress Panel to Meet Ahead of Talks With DMK for 2026 Polls
The Congress has scheduled a key meeting on November 23 to prepare for alliance discussions with the DMK ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Party leader K. Selvaperunthagai said the committee will “chalk out the modalities” for negotiations and finalize the Congress’ expectations and strategy before holding formal talks with DMK leaders next week.
The meeting is expected to focus on seat-sharing frameworks, campaign coordination, and strengthening the alliance’s overall electoral approach. Congress leaders aim to enter discussions with a clear stance while maintaining the long-standing partnership with the DMK, which has been central to Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
With the election cycle approaching, both parties are preparing to consolidate their positions and ensure a cohesive front. The Congress hopes that early dialogue will help resolve differences smoothly and set the stage for a strong, united alliance in the 2026 polls.
