The BJP has announced a special program called BLA Samman Bihar, aimed at recognizing its Booth Level Agents for their hard work during the recent assembly elections. The party will honor one BLA-1 from each of Bihar’s 243 assembly constituencies. The BLA Samman Bihar ceremony will take place in Patna.
This decision came after a meeting of the BJP Election Management Department. State convener Radhika Raman presented the proposal, and State President Dilip Jaiswal approved it. The event will be held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium in the state BJP office at 11 a.m. Senior party leaders will also attend.
The role of BLAs became extremely important after the Election Commission conducted a major voter list revision before the elections. BJP workers worked closely with BLOs to remove fake and duplicate voters. Their efforts helped the NDA achieve a strong victory, with the BJP winning 89 seats.
BLAs checked voter lists, verified supporters, and ensured smooth voting at booths. They also helped identify bogus entries and supported BLOs in field work. The party wants to reward this dedication through the upcoming ceremony.
The event will recognize their contribution to clean voting and strong booth management.
