Nagaland, AIFF Review Preparations for Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls Championship

Officials reviewing preparations for the Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls Football Championship in Nagaland

Nagaland officials and representatives from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) held a review meeting to assess all preparations for the upcoming Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship, which will be hosted in Chümoukedima.

During the meeting, both sides examined progress on key arrangements such as the condition of the match venue, training facilities, security planning, transport for teams, accommodation, medical support, and overall event coordination. Authorities also checked whether equipment, ground maintenance and logistical systems were ready for the tournament’s start.

AIFF officials appreciated the efforts put in by the Nagaland organising team and gave suggestions to ensure the event meets national standards for junior girls’ football. They emphasised smooth coordination between all committees so that the championship runs without disruptions.

Nagaland’s organising committee informed the AIFF that multiple sub-committees are already working on areas like hospitality, media management, protocol, emergency services and transportation. They expressed confidence that Nagaland is prepared to host the tournament successfully.

This championship carries special significance for the state, as it is named after Dr. Talimeren Ao, India’s first Olympic football captain and one of Nagaland’s most respected sports icons.

With several teams set to participate from across the country, both Nagaland and the AIFF will continue monitoring last-minute arrangements to ensure everything is in place before the opening ceremony.
