The Gujarat DGP Commendation Disc once again celebrates dedication, discipline, and integrity in policing. This year, the Gujarat DGP Commendation Disc recognizes 110 officers and employees for their outstanding work across the state during 2024. The Gujarat Police leadership continues to highlight exceptional service through this prestigious honor.

The ceremony on November 25 will spotlight officers from various ranks and districts. Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G S Malik, a 1993-batch IPS officer and a widely respected administrator, leads the list. Senior IPS officers such as Gagandeep Gambhir, Raghavendra Vats, and N N Chaudhary also earned recognition for impactful contributions to law enforcement.

The award selection reflects measurable achievements in crime prevention, public safety, investigation quality, technology adoption, and community policing. It also acknowledges officers serving in districts like Bhavnagar, Chhota Udepur, East Kutch, Surat City, and Gandhinagar. The list features DCPs, SPs, Deputy SPs, PIs, PSIs, and frontline personnel who strengthened Gujarat’s policing framework.

With this annual honor, Gujarat reinforces a culture of excellence, accountability, and motivation within the force. The recognition serves as a reminder that effective policing thrives on courage, consistency, and public trust.
