Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Achchennaidu announced that the government will implement five key principles to strengthen the farming sector. Speaking ahead of the launch of the “Raitanna Meekosam” program in Ghantasala, Krishna district, he explained that the new initiative will offer stronger support for farmers through focused awareness efforts. Starting today, officials will visit every farmer’s house until November 29.
The Minister emphasised that the program shows the government’s commitment to farmer welfare. He noted that the five principles will provide farmers with clear guidance on modern agricultural practices. Moreover, he stressed that awareness plays a crucial role in improving productivity and income. The initiative also aims to connect farmers directly with various support systems for better results.
Beginning December 3, all Rythu Seva Kendras will host workshops. These sessions will focus on water security, demand-based crop selection, agritech, food processing, and government support schemes. In addition, sector-specific awareness programs will be organised for farmers in agriculture, horticulture, sericulture, aquaculture, dairy, poultry, and sheep rearing.
The Minister pointed out that the government has prioritised farmers for the past 17 months. He said the staff at Rythu Seva Kendras will play a key role in carrying out the program. Furthermore, he urged officials to implement a clear action plan at every centre. He reaffirmed that the government remains committed to strengthening the farming system across the state.
