The latest IAS transfer list in Rajasthan has brought a dramatic reshuffle, beginning with Archana Singh’s return to the Secretariat after 51 days of APO. Despite facing action for a minor lapse, she now takes on the challenge of improving the Department of Personnel. Meanwhile, several officers from the 1996 batch have seen their influence reduced. Alok Gupta and Rajesh Yadav have been moved out of the Secretariat, while Ambrish Kumar has been shifted to Food & Civil Supplies, away from his earlier controversial posting in Medical Education.

In contrast, Ravi Kumar Surpur has received a major elevation as Secretary IT with additional charge of Planning, marking his strong comeback. Rohit Gupta has been relieved from Industries and made CMD of the Renewable Energy Corporation, with Suresh Kumar Ola taking his place.

Some officers with previously prime postings, including Iqbal Khan and Shaheen Ali Khan, have been sidelined. Purushottam Sharma’s dual appointment as MD of RSRTC and Transport Commissioner has raised administrative concerns.

Promoted IAS officers from the 2015–16 batches, including Lalit Kumar and Amita Sharma, have finally secured key Secretariat roles. Despite expectations, no district collectors were changed, likely due to pending Election Commission approvals.
