ANTF Drug Module Bust in the Ferozepur Range delivered a major breakthrough as the Anti-Narcotics Task Force seized 4.1 kg of heroin. The team also arrested two accused, including a 17-year-old with past criminal cases. The ANTF Drug Module Bust supports the state’s drive Yudh Nashiyan Viruddh.
ASI Parminder Singh led the raid under the supervision of AIG Gurinderbir Singh Sidhu and DSP Prithipal Singh. Police raided a house where the accused stored the heroin. Two suspects managed to escape during the operation, and officers launched a search for them. Police registered the case under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at ANTF SAS Nagar.
The arrested men include 19-year-old Bovin Kumar, alias Bobby, and a juvenile linked to earlier NDPS and attempt-to-murder cases. Police also named two more men, Jashandeep Singh, alias Jashan, and Arshdeep Singh, alias Arsh, as wanted. Teams are tracking them in the Fazilka–Jalalabad belt.
AIG Gurinderbir Singh Sidhu said the traffickers used new communication methods, including phones and social media. He added that strict border policing and anti-drone systems forced the group to change its routes. Officers also secured technical evidence during the raid.
He said the ANTF aims to break the full network and expects more arrests soon. The force continues to target every link to push Punjab toward a drug-free environment.
