Mohali Police nabbed a fugitive wanted in an NDPS case after a long and focused search. This operation marks a major success in the district’s campaign against drug networks and wanted criminals. The arrest also highlights how Mohali Police Nab Fugitive in NDPS Case through coordinated planning and strong leadership.
Harmandeep Singh, a resident of Sohali village in Kharar, stayed on the run since 2019. Police booked him under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act after they seized 20 grams of heroin from him. He refused to join the investigation and escaped from the area. Courts later declared him a Proclaimed Offender. His long absence created challenges for police teams because he changed locations often and used contacts to hide.
SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans reviewed the case again and ordered a renewed search. He formed a dedicated team with SP (Investigation) Sourav Jindal and DSP (Special Crime) Naveenpal Singh Lahil. The PO staff began tracking his movement through local sources, digital trails, and field intelligence. The officers held daily briefings to refine leads. Their persistence helped them narrow down his location.
On November 24, the team coordinated with Phase-1 Mohali Police and moved quickly. They reached the hideout and detained Harmandeep Singh without delay. Police produced him in court the same day. The court later sent him to jail. The smooth operation strengthened the belief that determined policing can break drug-related crime chains.
SSP Hans said the crackdown will continue with even more energy. He added that the police will not allow fugitives to weaken law enforcement efforts. He praised the officers who worked day and night on the case. The success once again proves how Mohali Police Nab Fugitive in NDPS Case with unwavering focus and teamwork.
