Guram village in Ludhiana district is reeling from grief after five members of a local family died in a house fire in Brampton, Canada. The fire broke out last Thursday, leaving the community shocked and devastated.

Former sarpanch Ranvir Singh Mehmi confirmed that one of the deceased was an unmarried woman from the village who burned alive. Many family members had migrated to Canada over the years seeking better opportunities. Relatives still in Punjab have now rushed to Canada after hearing the tragic news.
