Haryana CM Announces Rs 5 Lakh for Families

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced Rs 5 lakh financial aid for the families of two young basketball players who died in tragic accidents. Aman from Bahadurgarh and Hardik from Lakhan Majra lost their lives when basketball poles fell on them during practice sessions.

Expressing deep sorrow, CM Saini said, “The Haryana Government stands firmly with the families of the deceased during this difficult time.” He added that the compensation would provide immediate relief to the grieving families and help them manage urgent expenses.

To prevent similar incidents, Saini directed the Department of Sports to conduct a thorough inspection of all sports facilities in the state. Officials must ensure that unsafe equipment is repaired, replaced, or removed. The Chief Minister emphasized that the safety and well-being of young athletes remain the government’s top priority.

Local authorities have already started evaluating schools, stadiums, and training centers to identify hazardous structures. Furthermore, Saini instructed officers to implement strict maintenance schedules and safety protocols. These measures aim to protect students and athletes across Haryana from preventable accidents.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of training coaches and staff to handle emergencies. Emergency response teams will be established at major sports venues, and workshops on sports safety will be conducted across the state.

By combining financial aid with stricter safety measures, Haryana aims to create a secure environment for youth sports. CM Saini expressed hope that these steps will prevent future tragedies and reassure parents about the safety of their children.

The announcement has received appreciation from sports organizations, local leaders, and residents. Many have praised the government for acting promptly and addressing both immediate financial support and long-term safety concerns.
