The PM Modi Goa celebrations will begin in a grand way as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Canacona on Friday. The PM Modi Goa celebrations honour the 550-year journey of Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math, one of Goa’s oldest spiritual centres.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will unveil a 77-foot bronze statue of Prabhu Shri Ram. He will also open the new Ramayana Theme Park Garden. In addition, he plans to release a special postal stamp and a commemorative coin made for this historic moment. Thousands of devotees are expected to attend his address.
Partagali Math stands on the banks of the Kushavati River. It holds deep spiritual value for the Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community. Jagadguru Madhvacharya’s Dvaita philosophy guides the Math, and therefore it remains an important symbol of devotion and culture.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the event is a proud moment for Goa. He urged people to join the celebration and witness the unveiling of the huge statue. He also said that the Math’s efforts will boost spiritual tourism and showcase Goa’s cultural strength.
Finally, arrangements for the event are ready, and visitors are encouraged to arrive early to welcome the Prime Minister.
