Canacona schools will close on November 28 for PM Narendra Modi’s visit. The closure ensures safety and smooth conduct of the 550th-anniversary celebrations of Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math.
The Directorate of Education issued a circular stating that all government, government-aided, and private schools in Canacona will remain closed for students and staff. Director Shailesh Zingade said the decision followed a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary. Authorities considered security, traffic management, and VVIP movement while making the decision.
Schools should not schedule exams, events, or other activities on that day. The Prime Minister will unveil a 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram and inaugurate a 3D projection mapping installation.
Officials advised parents and students to cooperate with authorities. They asked everyone to plan ahead for the holiday. The closure will allow smooth event execution and provide a secure environment for visitors and participants attending the historic celebration.
Canacona schools closing for the PM visit highlights the importance of security during major VVIP events. Authorities urge everyone to respect the holiday and enjoy the celebrations safely.
