The National Supercross Championship returns to Goa with Round 5 on November 29 and 30 at the event ground behind Zudio, Navelim. Fans can expect thrilling races on an 800-metre dirt track featuring 10 jumps, tabletops, whoops, and berms. The return marks the end of a long break for the state’s Supercross enthusiasts.

Over 120 riders from across India will compete across nine categories. Top factory teams including HERO Racing and TVS Racing will lead the field. Elite SX1 riders such as 2024 champion Shlok Ghorpade, Rugved Barguge, Ikshan Shanbhag, and Prajwal V will battle for top honours. Junior riders aged 10 to 16 will also take centre stage.

Shyam Kothari, seven-time national motocross champion, explained that Supercross tests the rider’s skill and bond with the bike. He added that the Goa round is the second-last leg before the championship concludes in Visakhapatnam. Former champions Allan Sequeira and Javed Shaikh also shared their insights with the media.

Scrutiny and practice sessions will be held on November 29, while main races flag off at 12:30 pm on November 30. Fans are urged to arrive early to witness high-speed action and support their favourite riders.
