PUDUCHERRY – Folklore and philosophy meet modern technology at the Fortune Teller Expo, an immersive exhibition by Paris-based designer and illustrator Julie Stephen Chheng at the Alliance Francaise in Puducherry. The expo lets visitors engage with otherworldly spirits in a unique, interactive experience.

The exhibition features an Augmented Reality (AR) installation. Visitors can download a mobile app via QR code, allowing them to encounter nature spirits digitally. These spirits convey wisdom and philosophical guidance, offering practical tips and cautionary cues relevant to everyday life. The interactive setup encourages attendees to reflect on personal choices and explore unseen dimensions of thought.

Julie Stephen Chheng, known for blending traditional art with modern technology, explains that the Fortune Teller Expo bridges cultural storytelling and futuristic design. “Through this installation, folklore comes alive, and visitors experience philosophy in a tangible, playful way,” Chheng said.

The expo has drawn attention for its innovative combination of narrative art, AR, and interactive engagement. Visitors can explore multiple encounters, each revealing different spirits and insights. The installation is designed for audiences of all ages, highlighting how technology can revitalize age-old tales and spiritual exploration.
