The Anti-Romeo Squad in Bihar is getting a major upgrade after Samrat Chaudhary took charge as the Home Minister. The government wants to stop miscreants who trouble, tease, or harass school and college girls. The Anti-Romeo Squad in Bihar will now include a special women police team that will patrol busy student areas every day.
DGP Vinay Kumar said that these women officers will move around schools and colleges on scooters. Their main aim is to ensure safety and quick action. If anyone is found teasing or disturbing students, strict action will be taken immediately. This step shows the government’s strong focus on women’s security.
The DGP also said that 2,000 scooters are being purchased for the squad. This will help the officers reach any location quickly. The Home Minister has clearly instructed the police to stay alert and take firm action against molesters.
Along with this, the police are cracking down on other crimes too. In recent months, proposals to confiscate properties of 400 criminals were sent to the court, and around 1,200 more have been identified. Their illegal assets will also be seized soon.
