Kurukshetra University Approves Key Promotions during its 288th Executive Council meeting held on Friday. The meeting, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, focused on 22 major agendas and reviewed the progress made since the previous session. Deputy Director of Public Relations Dr Jimmy Sharma said the council reviewed recommendations from multiple selection committees. It approved promotions under the Career Advancement Scheme for faculty in several departments. Ten teachers moved to the Senior Professor rank, including Prof Neelam Rani, Prof Vinod Kumar, Prof SP Kaushik, Prof Neera Raghav, Prof Rakesh Kumar, Prof Bhagwan Singh Choudhary, Prof Nirmala Choudhary, Prof Sunita Siroha, Prof Dinesh Kumar and Prof Rajeshwari.
The council also promoted Associate Professors Dr Rashmi Choudhary and Dr Virender Pal to Professor. Assistant Professors Dr Aarti Shayokand and Dr Dinesh Kumar advanced to Associate Professor.
In administrative decisions, the council cleared promotion cases of Deputy Superintendents and finalised selection committees to speed up recruitment of teaching posts in various departments.
Members reviewed the progress of the all-weather Olympic-size swimming pool under construction on the campus. They directed officials to ensure timely completion.
The council also approved proposals on PhD fee structures, including application charges and affiliation fees.
