The All India Congress Committee has released a new list of district presidents for various districts in Chhattisgarh, bringing major organisational changes across the state. The most prominent appointment is in Mahasamund, where MLA Dwarikadhish Yadav has been given charge as district president.

In Raipur, Shrikumar Shankar Menon will lead the City Congress, while Rajendra ‘Pappu’ Banjare has been appointed for Raipur Rural. Former MLA Ashish Chhabra will head Bemetara, and UD Minj will take charge of Jashpur.

A significant change comes from Sukma, where Harish Lakhma—son of senior Congress leader Kawasi Lakhma—has been appointed district president. In Dantewada, Salim Raja Usmani becomes the only Muslim representative among the 41 new appointees.

In Durg city, Dheeraj Bakliwal takes over organisational responsibilities, while Mukesh Chandrakar will handle Bhilai city. Ravi Ghosh has been appointed in Kondagaon and Balkrishna Pathak in Sarguja.

The list also includes Naveen Jaiswal for Kabirdham and Jitendra Mudaliar for Rajnandgaon. The party expects these appointments to strengthen organisational structure ahead of future political challenges.
