Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s visit to Dungarpur has once again ignited political chatter in the state. While on her way to Banswara, she stopped at the Dungarpur Circuit House and held a closed-door meeting with BJP leaders and workers, where strong complaints about administrative functioning surfaced.

As the discussion began, Raje asked, “Tell me, what’s going on these days?” Responding to this, former district president Gurupasad Patel said that administrative officers neither listen to the public nor to party workers. His frustration was evident.

Municipal Council Chairman Amrit Kalasua raised another key issue, stating that although Dungarpur consistently wins cleanliness awards, the council does not receive sufficient budget. He added that with adequate funds, new equipment could be purchased and sanitation work could be further improved.

When the media questioned Raje about the current state government’s two-year performance, she avoided a direct response, saying it wasn’t a political program. She then left for Gadhi in Banswara to meet a bereaved family.
