Bengaluru Traffic Fine Rebate Scheme Raises ₹7.02 Crore in Seven Days

Bengaluru’s traffic fine rebate scheme has generated ₹7.02 crore in just seven days, reflecting a positive response from commuters seeking to regularize their pending fines. Launched to encourage prompt payment of traffic penalties, the scheme offers a discount to vehicle owners who clear outstanding fines within a specified period.
According to city traffic authorities, a large number of motorists took advantage of the scheme during the first week, resulting in a significant boost to the city’s revenue collection. Officials noted that the initiative not only helps citizens save money but also aids in reducing the backlog of pending violations, contributing to more streamlined traffic management.
The traffic department has urged all residents with outstanding fines to make use of the rebate scheme before it closes. Authorities emphasized that this approach aims to promote responsible driving while offering financial relief, ultimately improving compliance and road safety in the city.
