Railway staff and technical teams reached the spot within minutes and began repair work. After a long effort, the engine was brought back and reconnected to the rear coaches.
Train services on the Patna–DDU route slowed down for hours, causing delays for passengers. Several trains used the loop line to keep traffic moving. Officials said a broken coupling caused the split, and they are checking if there was any technical fault or negligence.
The quick response from the railway team prevented a bigger tragedy. After repairs, the route returned to normal and trains resumed their schedules.
