Thousands Pay Tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur at 350th Martyrdom Event in Hyderabad
Hyderabad’s NTR Stadium transformed into a sea of faith as thousands gathered to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru. Devotees from across Telangana and neighbouring states participated in the solemn event, paying homage to the Guru’s unparalleled sacrifice in defending religious freedom.
Guru Tegh Bahadur, widely honoured as “Hind Di Chadar” (Shield of India), is remembered for standing firmly against oppression and laying down his life to protect the right of individuals to practise their faith without fear. The event at NTR Stadium featured kirtans, spiritual discourses, and messages highlighting his legacy of courage, compassion, and universal brotherhood.
Community leaders and speakers urged people to carry forward the Guru’s teachings of equality, tolerance, and service. The atmosphere remained charged with devotion as thousands offered prayers, reflecting the deep respect and reverence the Sikh community holds for Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom.
