Over 100 Girls Disappeared in Bihar: A Rising Border Crime Crisis

over 100 girls disappeared in Bihar news report

In the past six months, over 100 girls disappeared in Bihar. Most cases were reported from districts near the Nepal border. Families in these areas are living in fear as over 100 girls disappeared in Bihar under mysterious conditions.

Human trafficking groups active along the India–Nepal border are suspected. These groups are linked to countries like Nepal, China, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and others. Many girls are taken for marriage, forced labour, prostitution, and even drug trafficking.

Advocate SK Jha raised the issue with the National Human Rights Commission and the Bihar State Human Rights Commission. He warned that young girls are being sold for huge amounts of money in foreign countries. Some girls are also sent to places like Jammu & Kashmir, Pondicherry, Dubai, and Argentina.

Only a few missing girls were rescued recently. Many are still untraceable. Families affected by this crisis are losing trust in the police and administration. The Human Rights Commission has now demanded a high-level investigation.

This growing problem shows how urgently the border region needs stronger security and faster action to protect innocent children.
