A major reshuffle in the Rajasthan Cabinet is unlikely to happen on the earlier expected date of December 2, party sources confirmed. Although Chief Minister and BJP central leadership have agreed in principle on a complete overhaul, the final call rests with the top leadership in New Delhi, and the timeline remains uncertain.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jaipur on December 10 for a conference of Rajasthani expatriates, with industrial investment expected to be a key discussion point. The Chief Minister is likely to travel to New Delhi soon to personally invite the Prime Minister.
The CM’s camp views Modi’s visit as politically significant, but the delay in the cabinet rejig has disappointed leaders who were gearing up for new roles and expecting calls from Raj Bhavan.
With no official announcement yet, many believe the reshuffle may now take place only after the ongoing Parliament Winter Session concludes, leaving the political landscape clouded with uncertainty.
