Indian student Vijay Kumar Sheoran died after a violent street attack in Worcester on November 25. Police found the 30-year-old with critical injuries on Barbourne Road in the early hours of Wednesday. Doctors tried to save him, but he died soon after reaching the hospital.

Officers arrested five men on suspicion of murder. They later released them on bail as the investigation continued. Police also detained a sixth man but released him with no further action. Detective Chief Inspector Lee Holehouse expressed sympathy to the family and urged residents to share any information or footage.

Sheoran came from Jagrambas village in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. He resigned from his job at the Central Board of Excise and Customs earlier this year. He moved to the UK to study at the University of the West of England in Bristol. His family said they were shattered by the loss.

His brother, Ravi Kumar, sought help from External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. He asked for support in the investigation and help to bring the body home. The family said they were struggling with legal and financial procedures in the UK.

Haryana MLA Sunil Satpal Sangwan also called for a fair and swift probe. He urged both governments to support the family during their grief.
