Assam: Late singer Zubeen Garg may no longer be physically present, but his influence continues to live in the hearts of millions. During the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Assam, a deeply emotional moment surfaced when a Booth Level Officer (BLO) struggled to remove the singer’s name.
Zubeen Garg, who passed away on September 19, received a massive farewell when his mortal remains arrived in Guwahati’s Kamarakuchi village on September 23. His fans had then shown unmatched affection and respect.
Now, during the voter list verification, BLO Mohammad Tafiz Uddin visited the singer’s home. Overcome with emotion, he initially refused to delete Zubeen’s name and instead wrote beside it, “You are immortal.” The family later shared this touching moment on social media, and the video quickly went viral.
Local reports say the BLO had tears in his eyes while completing the formalities. Social media users are applauding his heartfelt reaction, saying Zubeen Garg will forever remain in Assam, ruling hearts even after his demise.
