PMCH Doctor Strike After Doctors and Attendants Clash

PMCH Doctor Strike news headline

The PMCH Doctor Strike created chaos in the hospital after a violent clash between junior doctors and a patient’s family. The trouble began when an elderly man died of a brain hemorrhage. His family claimed he was still breathing and demanded treatment. This led to an argument, and the situation quickly turned violent. The PMCH Doctor Strike started soon after the assault.

Emergency services stopped, and more than fifty critical patients returned home without treatment. Many families rushed to other hospitals in search of help. Doctors said they would return to duty only if proper security was provided. They reported that both male and female doctors were attacked inside the emergency department.

The Junior Doctors Association placed three main demands before the hospital and the state government: security in all departments, FIRs in every assault case, and strict action against those who break the law on the hospital campus. They also announced a boycott of the OPD.

Police received a complaint and began investigating the fight. Hospital officials appealed to the striking doctors to resume work so that emergency services could restart.
