Group Captain Shubhashu Shukla expressed his excitement about his upcoming space journey, saying that words are not enough to describe the experience. He explained that the knowledge and training he gained during his preparation are priceless and will play a major role in India’s ambitious space programs, including the Gaganyaan mission and the proposed Indian Space Station project.
Shukla emphasized that the mission is not just about personal achievement but about contributing to the nation’s growing presence in space exploration. “Very soon, we will be able to launch astronauts from our own soil, in our own capsule, carried by our own rocket. That moment will mark a new chapter in India’s space history,” he stated.
He further added that witnessing Earth from space is a deeply emotional experience, and even from there, India stands out as a land of beauty and pride. Echoing his patriotic spirit, Shukla remarked, “From space too, it feels like the words of the song ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’ truly come alive. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat!”
His words highlight not only his personal journey but also India’s determination to become a self-reliant leader in human spaceflight.
