CRDA Approves LPS-2 and Lok Bhavan Construction in Amaravati
The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has approved the Land Pooling Scheme-2 (LPS-2) and the construction of Lok Bhavan in Amaravati, marking a significant step in the development of Andhra Pradesh’s capital region. The authority also decided to raise a loan of ₹7,380 crore from NABARD to fund infrastructure projects, including roads, public utilities, and civic amenities, aimed at enhancing the capital’s urban landscape.
Chief Minister emphasized the importance of cultural and historical pride in the capital, instructing officials to install an iconic statue of former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao at Neerukonda as a symbol of Telugu self-respect and glory. The Lok Bhavan, once completed, is expected to house administrative offices and public service facilities, streamlining governance and boosting accessibility for citizens.

Officials highlighted that LPS-2 will enable systematic development of land parcels, ensuring orderly growth, better infrastructure, and improved public amenities in Amaravati.
