Tension has risen in West Bengal after an MLA in Murshidabad’s Beldanga announced the foundation ceremony for a structure resembling the Babri Mosque. Following the announcement, Governor Dr. CV Anand Bose issued an alert and appealed to people across the state to maintain peace and communal harmony. He cautioned citizens not to fall for provocative statements or rumors that could disturb public order.
The Governor stated clearly that law and order will not be allowed to deteriorate under any circumstances. He instructed the state government to take immediate action even on minor incidents and ensure that no unrest spreads anywhere. According to Raj Bhavan sources, the Governor is continuously monitoring the situation and reviewing every update personally.
Dr. Bose has also directed the administration to maintain strict vigilance in sensitive areas. He emphasized that police forces must remain alert and respond immediately to any inflammatory speech, social media post, or attempt to provoke crowds. The Governor reiterated that avoiding rumors and maintaining calm is essential for preserving peace in the state.
