The operational crisis at IndiGo Airlines continued for the fifth straight day at Jaipur Airport, causing chaos for passengers. On Saturday, 13 flights were cancelled, while several others were delayed, worsening the situation. A day earlier, as many as 49 flights had been cancelled, adding to the mounting inconvenience for travellers.
Flights to major cities including Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Guwahati, Ahmedabad and Delhi were among the worst affected. Long queues formed at the airport as passengers crowded IndiGo counters seeking clarity on whether their flights would operate.
Many passengers complained that the airline was not providing clear updates or timely messages. A tourist from Mexico, Fernando, said his Jaipur-to-Varanasi travel plan collapsed after his flight was cancelled, disrupting his entire schedule.
In response, Jaipur Airport authorities have increased seating arrangements, additional check-in counters and medical support. Passengers have been advised to use mobile apps for real-time updates to avoid last-minute confusion.
