Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh continued his US tour with key meetings in San Francisco. During the visit, he interacted with leading venture capital firms and tech companies. He urged Celesta Capital Managing Partner Arun Kumar to explore investments in semiconductors, AI, and quantum computing. Lokesh also highlighted the rapid growth of Visakhapatnam as an IT and data hub, further stressing the state’s strong talent base.
Moreover, he explained that Andhra Pradesh offers modern infrastructure and a ready workforce for advanced technology projects. Because of this, global firms can scale faster in the state. He assured full government support to companies willing to collaborate in innovation and emerging tech sectors. These discussions created a positive response from investors.
Later, Lokesh held meetings with Canva executives Rob Giglio and Jason Wilmott. In these talks, he invited Canva to join the upcoming Amaravati Creative Land project. He also sought partnerships for creative training programs and skill development initiatives. Additionally, he informed them about the plan to build a world-class Entertainment City in Amaravati.
Officials believe these interactions will help attract new investments and strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem. As a result, the tour is drawing significant attention from global tech leaders. Lokesh aims to bring advanced skill programs and more opportunities for youth, pushing Andhra Pradesh toward becoming a global tech destination.
